Valentine's Day

In conjugation of V-Day, I'll be commenting on my Top 10 favorite couples. ^___^

Top 10:
[10] KamuixKotori =X=
*This is a sad pairing since Kotori died at her brother, Fuuma's, hands, while Kamui had to watch him do the act of killing. Tragic, but they do reunite in death at the end of the series. Together in dead, huh? Very fitting. There are plenty of sad love stories in X.
[9] HaruxElie =Groove Adventure Rave=
*Haru and Elie, it's so obvious from the starting that they are going to be the official couple of Rave. After all, they are the main characters. There's no doubt that either of them have any different feelings for each other. Haru, always protecting Elie, who worries over Haru. Sweet ^____^
[8] FerioxFuu =Magic Knights Rayearth=
*Green haired, makes you think of a punk, neh? They look so different. A easy-going fighter, and a serious hardworking student of another world. But hey, opposites do attract.
[7] YohxAnna =Shaman King=
*Ah, the fiance and his fiancee. Yoh needs Anna to push him to work harder and they do look cute together. Damn, "look cute" is getting overused. But whatever. They started on a bad footing, and Anna appears to hate Yoh, but underneath the cold exterior, she does like Yoh, and care deeply for him.
[6] DaisukexRiku =D.N.Angel=
*Aww, Daisuke kawaii!!! He is cute! Ahem, this is another cute little pairing. Daisuke, extraordinary thief, and Riku, the tomboy. Well, even though Riku isn't the typical cute girl, Daisuke makes up for it with his too innocent face. Especially the scenes of Ice and Snow, lol, he dressed up as a girl!
[5] KenshinxKaoru =Samurai X=
*Kenshin and Kaoru, well, typical pairing. This is the most common pairing on fanfiction.net. I like them together since they do look good together. Kaoru is actually shorter then Kenshin. *gasps* Haha.
[4] KyouxTohru =Fruits Basket=
*I'm soooo gonna get flamed. I know many people prefer YukixTohru, but I think Kyou needs her more. She's like the first person who accepted him for who he was, and actually didn't mind the demon within. Tohru is also the one Kyou opens up to, and Tohru, in the later part, blushes more in his presence.
[3] TakutoxMitsuke =Full Moon wo Sagashite=
*Lol, at first, I like EichixMitsuke more. But after seeing more of the series, I felt that even though Eichi did encourage Mitsuke a lot during their childhood, Takuto played a bigger role. Anyway, we only got to see Eichi only during flashbacks...
[2] RyomaxSakuno =Prince of Tennis=
This is a real sweet pairing. Shy, humble Sakuno, and a confident, quick Ryoma, they are so compatible with each other. Sadly, there's not much fanfictions centering around them. There's more pairings of yaoi.
[1] BakuraxRyou =Yu-Gi-Oh=
* My No. 1 fave coupling. I know it's shounen-ai, but they still look cute together. But, I really don't like the fanfictions where poor Ryou is tortured by Bakura. I prefer something light and cute. It's kind of not possible for this relationship to exist, but c'mon, humor us fans! ^____^

After 51 episodes

I finally finished the whole series of Full Metal Alchemist, and shed a few tears over the characters that have grown on me over time. Firstly, Ed and Al, their futile searchings for the Philosopher Stone. And the 7 Homoculus, they had such sad pasts, revived by loved ones, though they were not the same as before.

I think one of the things I learnt from this anime was to let the dead rest in peace, and go on with your own life. If everyone who died can be revived with just an array, some simple ingredients essential for human elements, then in what way is life precious, or even worth living for? It will also mean that life is practically worthless, since you can obtain the ingredients with the pocket money of a child's.

The last episode made me cry, Al managed to revive Ed, but he disappeared, and in the end, Ed tried to get Al back, in his original body and everything, and he succeeded, however, this time, Ed went to the other world. Now, they are working towards their new goal: meeting each other again. I wish there would be a sequel, about the borthers trying to reunite.

Equivalent Trade

In order to gain something, one must sacrifice something of equal value. So, in the end, are you even gaining anything?

In many episodes, I see people using alchemy for their own good. Like Mahjal, who wanted to revive Karin by using someone's soul. They were blinded by their powers, and thought to be like God. I'm not saying that they were wrong, just too selfish, and their desire were too great. Perhaps our greatest failing would be desire. To get what we want, we become ruthless and forget all principles. But in the long run, I think you'll regret it.

Ed must be really powerful, if he can transmutate things without a transmutation circle. He's short for his age. [He'll be really mad if he knew about this. Lol.] Although Al has a body made of steel, he seems to be more human then Ed. He feels more. I pity him, being without a real body, trapped in a case of armor that is clumsy and too conspicious.

There are about 51 epsiodes, I think. I'm only at episode 8 though, coz I just started watching yesterday.
